DESCRIPTION:Please join us for "Virtual Team Management & Collaboration" presented by our guest speaker\, Dr. Velvet Landingham.  \n\n\n\nThis session has been designed to explore managing teams (and team participation) in remote contexts. We will discuss ways of collaborating and the impact on effective performance\, the effect of various media on team performance\, what to expect from others with remote environments\, and how to complete tasks without compromising the self.\n\n\n\nWho is Dr. Landingham?\n\n\n\nEducation\n\nDoctor of Philosophy in Organizational Behavior\, Case Western University\, 2004\n\nMasters in Science in Management and Public Policy Carnegie Mellon University\, \n\nBachelors of Science in Public Relations and Communications\, Syracuse University\n\n \n\nBiography \n\n \n\nDr. Landingham is an Associate Professor at Kent State University. She received her doctorate from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management in 2004. She has taught courses at the undergraduate\, graduate\, and professional levels. Her accomplishments include publications and presentations in numerous referred journals and international conferences. She has published several book chapters in edited volumes and a range of articles in journals such as International Journal of Learning\, International Journal of Business Strategy\, and International Journal of Knowledge\, Culture and Change Management.  Dr. Landingham's research and publication interests include: virtual teams\, teamwork\, leadership\, individual and team performance\, competency development\, and technology enhanced education. In addition to her scholarly activities\, she has nearly 20 years of experience designing\, developing\, and managing training and consulting initiatives within a wide array of organizations\, ranging from hospitals to manufacturers and not-for-profit agencies.  Areas of consultation include leadership\, coaching\, conflict resolution\, competency development\, diversity\, and emotional intelligence.
